A show with proffesional dancers, choreography and a setting decoration for the party.

The inauguration of the new chill out zone was attended by more than 350 guests, including numerous well known faces in Marbella society. From overseas we were visited by María Teresa Campos and Maria Bravo, the sponsor of honour.
The Lounge is located in the open air on the beach front, with an exclusive ambience and cosy décor, comfortable sofas and Balinese beds.

This new area is designed for water sports such as riding on jet skis and banana boats or sailing catamarans and pedalos. There is also a diving school, where you can start exploring the incredible world below the surface of the sea.

This new area is designed for children and teens from 5 to 17 years old staying at the hotel.
It is a multi-sport school with a wide range of activities (golf and swimming lessons, grass volleyball and cinema club screenings), all coordinated by an entertainment expert.

Guadalmina beach awarded a blue flag for its quality

The local government has awarded a blue flag to the Guadalmina – San Pedro beach. This prize is given by the Environmental Education and Consumer Association (Adeac-Fee) in recognition of efforts to comply with legal, accessibility, health, cleanliness and safety criteria.
In addition, the beach has received this award because it is equipped with public showers, ramps for disabled access, Local Police monitoring, children’s play areas and a large number of parking areas, as well as the fact that the waters are clean and in perfect condition.

The Guadalmina Commercial team attended the Madrid International Fair to meet more than 80 professional commitments and to present new offers and products. The reopening of the Hotel Guadalmina was celebrated this past April 9th. This new start with its investment commitment promises to be an opening going beyond most expectations and emphasizing the facilities assets of golf and sports combined with its excellent location highlighted by sun and beach.

The desire of the General Manager, Fernando Al-Farkh is not solely to offer service at the highest level but also a product commensurate with what the tourism market demands. His desire is to also join forces with other businesses to strengthen the image of the area as a tourist destination.

The official reopening ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz Ms, the delegate of Tourism, Trade and Sport of the Junta de Andalucia in Malaga, D. Antonio Souvirón, the president of AEHCOS, D. José Carlos Escribano, and representatives of the Provincial de Málaga, Association of Municipalities, political parties, prominent business associations (CIT), and tourism (Costa del Sol Board and SKAL).

The CIT chose the Hotel Guadalmina & Golf Resort for the presentation of the General Urban Plan of Marbella to employers of the Costa del Sol, a plan that was approved last spring. The document has set expectations for Marbella, as a premier tourist city,
with a plan for recuperation from the recent economic crisis and reversal of the economy for the general area.

This massive convocation of businessmen, bankers, hospitality industry professionals met for a luncheon attended by the Andalusian government delegate in Málaga, María Gámez, the mayor of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz, president of the Promoters and Builders in Malaga, José Prado and the president of CIT Marbella, Miguel Gómez y Molina.

Guadalmina sponsored and produced the program “Open for the Holidays” for Radio & Television Marbella. These were two months of intensive programming dedicated solely and exclusively to the tourist sector and its major players.

Highlighted are places and destinations for the Marbella audience and also for foreign and resident nationals as well as the visiting tourist. This one local broadcast is carried by 30 local outlets throughout Andalucia. There was sufficient time spent on such themes as: the golf enthusiast, sun and beach, sports enthusiast, tourist shopping, residential tourism, culture and leisure themes as well.

The TV program Route 21 went to Marbella for an in-depth report of the various sports and golf activities the city has to offer. After the reopening of the hotel in March the question that drew the most attention was the reworking of the Business and Marketing plans and the design and general direction set forth for the Hotel Guadalmina.

The Hotel Guadalmina was for a week converted into the official site for the trials of the XIII International Marbella City Paddle – BMW Cup, part of the professional Paddle Protour circuit that took place from July 26th to August 1st at the Paddle and Tennis Club of Nueva Andalucia.

The hotel’s close association with this elite club and sponsorship provided special arrangements for its hotel’s clients, friends and distinguished guests to benefit from the use of the Nueva Andalucia facilities and partake in this professional experience. Spain Most Attractive Man

The pageant finals “Spain’s Most Attractive Man” contest was conducted at the Hotel Guadalmina on August 28th after a week long competition among entrants coming from all over Spain.

Among the jurors in this special event were the comedian Raúl Sender, the psychic Rapel, José Luis Hernández a delegate from the Board of Tourism, Baldomero León the representative from Nueva Andalucia and as presenter the actress Mónica Pont.

Finally, it was Adrián Pedraja from Malaga who won the title of “Spain’s Most Attractive Man”

The summer is always a special time at the Hotel Guadalmina and this past summer proved nothing less. In July we were able to compete in the Nueva Andalucia Paddle Ball Pro Tour as sponsors and in August another goal was scored with the celebration of Spain’s Most Attractive Man competition.

The hotel has also been visited by prominent political, social, and cultural personalities and members of distinguished Spanish families linked sentimentally to the Hotel Guadalmina and who have returned for decades as cherished clients.

The attention provided by the television media to the rebirth and reinforcement of the facility’s principal ideals, that families and summer guests are always appreciated, was particularly exciting.

Last Friday, the golfer Azahara Muñoz from Marbella recorded a promotional video for the city, entitled “Vive Marbella”, which will be broadcast in Andalusia and Spain. The emblematic shore-side 11th hole of the Hotel Guadalmina golf course was chosen by both the local government and the champion, who has close links to the Guadalmina Golf Club, to record the spot that will sell our golf destination to all visitors from Spain and overseas.
